Job description: An employer headquartered in Los Angeles, CA is looking to bring on an ISSO to assist with security requirements, internal and external auditing, and compliance responsibilities for their growing team. This person must possess leadership qualities and have been in charge of leading a team previously. They will be responsible for coordinating all internal and external audit events, including discovery, sample delivery, management response, and remediation activities. They will also be working closely with the IT organization to review infrastructure and application architecture for security as well as align with the parent company’s security standards. They will also be responsible for preparing compliance reports and must have strong writing, editing, and documentation skills. This person must have strong communication skills, as they will be working cross functionally. This person must be reliable and self-motivated. This position can be fully remote but is preferred to be local to Los Angeles, CA, Austin, TX, Reston, VA, or Nashville, TN. The COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

8+ years of experience working in compliance, information security, or internal auditing covering: NIST 800-53

Experience working on POA&Ms

Experience with HIPPA standards

Experience with security tools such as: Nessus, NMAP, Rapid7, and Qualys

CISSP or CISM certification that is current

Bachelors Degree
